Do you have stories you would like to share but have no idea where to begin? This class starts with what you need to know: the business of publishing itself. Then we'll discuss the traditional agent and a publisher model versus self-publishing options. We'll dig into hiring an illustrator, book designer and printer, testing your story on your target market, plus how to organize and write for a picture book, an early reader or even a young adult audience. You'll see live examples of formats for printed books, audio, e-books and other products that go with books. Learn what you need to do and when, why you need to do it and how to get it done to publish a book the kids will love. Presented by publishing veteran, Lisa Pelto.
