According to the American Welding Society, there is a major shortage of welders in today’s workforce. This camp serves as a stepping stone to figure out if this is something you’d like to pursue as a career. Learn safety and the basics to cut and weld steel using oxyacetylene, just like the professionals. In our fully equipped lab, discover how to design and create a unique metal art piece to take home and share with friends and family. Students must wear leather shoes, long sleeves and long pants. They will not be allowed in the lab unless are wearing these items.
