Skeletons hold clues to solving mysteries and forensic anthropology is the key to unlocking them. Documentaries and TV shows often depict forensic anthropology but rarely tell the whole story. In this class, students will learn about the history of forensic anthropology, how to search for and recover evidence, and how to reconstruct the identity of a victim and the circumstances around their death. Through discussions of real cases and depictions of forensic anthropology on TV, students will gain an understanding of what forensic anthropology is, and is not.
