This course is sponsored by Midwest Rug Hookers.  Those who join will receive a beginner’s holiday rug hooking pattern and kit (wool strips for hooking), a rug hook, and patient instruction in a very old American fiber art, Wool Rug Hooking!  Jodi Isom will teach the course, and several experienced rug hookers will be standing by to help our students.  Students will learn the basics of how to pull loops of wool through a linen backing material, how to hook a circle, a straight line, and turn corners—and many other skills.  From 6-8 PM, we will provide instruction, and the last hour of class is practice with assistance.  Frames are provided by MCC. Kits are provided by Midwest Rug Hookers.  Bring a small sharp pair of scissors, a means of taking notes, and something to drink.  You will not only learn this versatile fiber art, but you’ll join the community of Midwest Rug Hookers!
