Discover the World of purse making in this engaging class that will take you on a journey from purse making basics to creating your very own Clamshell sling/crossbody bag. Unravel the terminology, explore essential supplies and learn about those handy tools. Discover how to print a pattern and fuse the inter-facings. Then, it’s time to start sewing and bring your purse to life. Celebrate your newfound bag making skills and take home a beautiful, functional purse you can be proud of. Must be confident in beginner sewing skills. Bring a $15 supply fee and a supply list will be listed on your receipt.

Skips 5/25 Skill Level: Confident Beginning Sewer 16+ Supply List: -$15 supply fee payable to the instructor -Outer Fabric- 1/4 yard-Heavy quilting cotton, cotton duck, canvas. If you want to do the matching strap buy 1/2 yard -Lining Fabric- 1/3 yard-Quilting cotton/Broadcloth -Bias Binding- one package large double fold bias binding to match lining -1 spool Gutterman or Sewology Polyester thread- to match exterior (will use same color for binding and top stitching -1 spool black for overlay top stitching -1 pack of Schmetz 90/14 microtex needles -Spencer Ogg Clamshell pattern printed with instructions
