Participants in this 12-week, 90-hour course will learn the basics of back-end web development. Course topics include Java, SQL, Java DBC, Spring Boot, and API development. The use of various developer tools and Github are integrated with assignments throughout the course. Participants will complete two projects concurrent with coursework. The first asks participants to create a micro banking ledger system that connects to a SQLite Database. The second project asks participants to build an application that creates, reads, updates, and deletes (CRUD) movie data.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants may earn a certificate of completion, and/or a digital badge (shareable micro-credential.
