This series of eight one-hour sessions offers instructors an introduction to key learning theories and their practical applications in the community college classroom. Each session provides an overview of a specific research-based teaching strategy rooted in the science of learning. Participants will explore how to use these strategies to enhance student learning in their courses. Whether attending one session or the full series, instructors will leave each session with a clear understanding of a learning theory and practical ideas to integrate into their own teaching.

The Using the Science of Learning to Improve Teaching Series is based on the book How Learning Works: 8 Research-Based Strategies for Smart Teaching.
