Participants in this Faculty Learning Community (FLC) meet monthly to focus on the following topics:

• Normalizing change and transitions are disruptive and are especially disruptive and dysregulating for teachers and students affected by individual, collective, and secondary traumas
• Responding to change with healing and empathy, especially in the uncertainty of reform initiatives and the on-going shifts in teaching and learning in higher education
• Developing collaborations to enhance healing and advance trauma-informed and mindful processes designed to support teachers and students in times challenging, uncertain times

The FLC is open to MCC instructors (full and part-time). Participants committ to attending monthly sessions, completing readings and learning activities related to the FLC, and collaborate on a deliverable outcome for the FLC.    

Courageous Collaboration in Challenging Times: Becoming Change-Makers for and with Students meets on Fridays, 9 - 11 a.m., at the Fort Omaha Campus on the following dates:

To acknowledge participation in the Faculty Learning Community and the contribution FLCs make to teaching and learning at MCC, FLC participants are eligible for a $500 honorarium, payable upon successful completion of the FLC, as determined by the FLC facilitators(s).
