Flying a drone can be intimidating. You may have asked yourself if you are going to crash or how high and how far you can fly or even if you are allowed to fly over people. If so, this course is for you. In this 3-hour course, participants learn the basic flight maneuvers and how to safely control the drone. The hands-on practice includes how to pick a safe area, how to complete a preflight inspection, how to take off, maneuver, and land while flying through an obstacle course. Drone Pilot 1: Safety & Compliance course is a prerequisite.
Notes:
You can bring your own drone or one will be provided for you. Meet in building 24 on the west end of the first floor. You will then get a drone if you didn't bring one. You will fly your drone on the parade grounds in the middle of the Fort Omaha Campus if weather permits.
