Computers have come a long way since the first hackers graced MIT's TX-0 and PDP-1 computer in the mid to late 1950s, hackers have influenced the progression of technology since those early days. Hacker culture has evolved alongside computers to form a unique culture with its own morals and ethics. The unfair representation of hackers has cast the hacker culture into a negative light. This course will also go over practical defense against the so-called "hacker", AKA "cracker", attempting to maliciously crack systems.
