At the completion of this course, participants will understand general nutrition and its importance in healthful aging. This course will identify the impact of poor nutrition on health and address the nutrition-related diseases that are common in older adulthood. Highlighting the importance of good nutrition in aging, participants will learn how they can improve their nutrition and realistic strategies they can implement in their diet now to both promote healthful aging and prevent further harm to their health. This course will also provide information about available resources for older adults to continue achieving good nutrition and live independently.

Notes:

Students will utilize the Zoom conferencing application to complete this course. Zoom meeting invitations will be sent via email at least one day prior to the class start date. Students must provide a valid email address to receive the meeting invitation to enter the Zoom virtual classroom.
