Hot Shops Watercolor Workshop

We will explore absolute basic watercolor techniques and styles. Some of these techniques and styles include; adding shadows and highlights, blending, color mixing, applying paint and painting from observation. Step-by-step instruction in a calm and inspiring environment.

Watercolor paper: 140# cold press, minimum 9” x 12”, minimum of 6 sheets Watercolor paint (tube or tray), cadmium red medium, cadmium yellow lemon, cobalt blue, assorted colors *Winstor & Newton have a wonderful small field pan of assorted colors. Masking fluid Artists tape, 1” wide Watercolor brushes: flat (1”or wider), #10 or #12 round, #6 round, script, an old used or cheap #2 #2B Pencil Kneaded eraser Palette (with at least 8” x 8” space for mixing paint) *If you by a kit it will already come with a palette Rag
