Learn to make leavened bread without modern commercial yeast. Explore different kinds of flour to use, how to culture a starter from scratch and how to feed and care for your starter. Learn to use a starter to make leaven and incorporate the leaven into your final recipe and so much more. Discover useful tools for bread making and a basic bread recipe. Due to limited time, there will be no bread preparation or baking during the demonstration, but samples of naturally fermented bread will be provided. Bring a $5 supply fee to class.
