According to the American Welding Society, there is a major shortage of welders in today’s workforce. This camp serves as a stepping stone to figure out if this is something you’d like to pursue as a career. Learn safety and the basics to cut and weld steel using oxy-acetylene, just like the professionals. In our fully equipped lab, discover how to design and create a unique metal art piece to take home and share with friends and family. Students must wear leather shoes, long sleeves and long pants. Supplies included. The lab is not air conditioned. Water will be provided. The instructor is Peggy Ritschel. Seats are limited. (ages 14-17)
