Enjoy a wonderful adventure visiting Lake Okoboji and cruising on the Queen II! People of all ages love this glacier-carved recreational lake area known for water sports, shops, museums, and Arnold's Amusement Park. Spend the day exploring some of the famous local sites. This beautiful chain of lakes extends from the Minnesota border southwest several miles and covers 15,000 acres. Spring-fed West Lake Okoboji is a beautiful shade of blue and 134' deep. It is the centerpiece of the five chain lakes and the surrounding communities provide the backdrop for Okoboji's year-round playground. Lunch will be on your own with several choices available, including the charming Maxwell's Beach Cafe.

Board the Queen II in the afternoon for a one hour and fifteen-minute journey around this scenic lake. Experiencing the lake on the deck of a vessel allows for spectacular views! Receive an informative guided tour from the captain - some of his true stories are unforgettable. Queen II offers guests two deck covered seating areas with access to the bow. Drinks and refreshments are available on the vessel. Later, activity options include the Maritime Boat Museum, the Iowa Rock and Roll Tribute Museum, the Amy Gardner Cabin, and the Central Emporium - a great summer shopping excursion. There are no admission fees to tour the museums. Arnold's Amusement Park is another pleasant option. The park features 30 rides and attractions, including the 63-foot Ferris wheel, the famous "Legend" rollercoaster and the area's fastest go-karts. Enjoy a delightful drive through the Lake District. A fast food dinner stop is planned during the journey home.
