Sustainable Practices—Learn How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

This course allows students to grasp the concept of sustainability. Throughout the semester students will explore the history and understanding of sustainability and important topics that it relates to. These topics include:

  • Ecology; how the ecosystems respond and why
  • Pollution; effects and outcomes
  • Climate Change; paleoclimates, addressing adaptations for the future
  • Waste reduction; what it means to be “Zero Waste”
  • Environmental Economics; how sustainability pays and its return on investment.
Students will explore these topics and will be asked to identify problems and solutions within those discussed topics.
