This course explores Nebraska’s unique role in the story, from the lives of Native peoples and the journeys of pioneers to the growth of farming, railroads, and towns across the prairie. Through stories of survival and innovation, we’ll examine how geography, culture, and community shaped life on the Plains—and how those legacies still influence the region today.
