During this camp, participants will visit top Omaha area biotechnology companies and learn about career opportunities in the biotechnology industry. In lab, students will perform hands-on biotech activities including fermentation of foods, DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and more. This unique biotechnology exploration experience is a must for any student interested in science, math, engineering, mechanics, and technology.

Lunch will be provided Monday - Thursday. Students will need to bring their own lunch on Friday. Students must wear pants, shirts that cover all the torso, and closed (front & back) shoes each day. Chemically resistant lab coats and nitrile gloves must be worn; hair, head coverings and scarves must be tied back; all spills must be reported; handwashing is required after handling chemicals or organisms; and keep the work area clean with the disposal of chemicals, tubes, etc. as per instructions.
