Code your own electric art! Students will customize a wooden façade and will attach electronics to their art piece to make it light up, play different sounds, and move when people approach it! Students will dive deep into the science of light and sound, learning about how light colors mix and how sound travels. They will control the functionality of the lights, sounds, and motors of their projects by programming them using a special TinkRworks coding app. To make their projects interactive, they will add an ultrasonic sensor that will trigger the sounds, lights, and motors to come on when a hand waves in front of it! Best of all, students will take their fully-functional creations home to show their families! (ages 6-8)
