In this exciting course, students explore the field of entomology taught by a recognized expert. Students begin their journey by learning to identify insects from other arthropods. Participants will study various collection techniques, how to safely start their own insect collection and how to keep a detailed science journal. All students will build an aspirator, a key tool used by entomologists to collect tiny insects. Additionally, students will learn about the impact of insects on the economy. Students will explore insects as a protein source. The only tools needed for this course is an adventurous spirt.
