Being a teenager is tough. Stress related to school, jobs, activities, and family and friends can take a toll on young people. More than ever, teens need to have real life coping strategies to manage stress, maintain balance and stay healthy. Yoga practice works on the whole person, body and mind, to help create a greater sense of overall wellness. In addition to mindfulness, postures/movement and breathwork, you will explore strategies for calming the body and cultivating a positive inner voice so you can successfully navigate the challenges of growing up. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Wear comfty clothes, bring a yoga mat, a thick towel or blanket and a notebook/pen. Only one person must register. The instructor is Lizz Cowley. (eight weeks)
