Curious how real-world grant decisions are made? In this interactive grantmaking simulation, you’ll step into the shoes of a funder and evaluate actual grant proposals—not case studies or hypotheticals. You and your team will use real dollars to fund real projects, awarding over $5,000 in community grant funding by the end of the session. This hands-on experience is designed for nonprofit professionals, grant writers, community leaders, and small business owners who want to understand what makes a proposal rise to the top. You'll practice using a scoring rubric, conduct due diligence, and participate in group decision-making to experience the full grant review process from the funder’s perspective. Whether you're applying for funding or exploring how to distribute it, this workshop offers powerful, practical insight into the inner workings of the grant world—and how you can improve outcomes on either side of the table.
