In this interactive PETS course, participants discuss the benefits and challenges of active learning and consider some of the details of planning these types of activities for their classes. Participants and the facilitator share successful and not-so-successful techniques for effective active learning. Low-tech and high-tech active learning strategies will be discussed as well as important considerations for accessibility.

Course opens Monday, January 13, 2025 in Canvas for asynchronous work. Participants meet January 31, 2025 to debrief. Participation in both the asychronous activities and the Zoom session are required for completion of the course.

PETS stipend: $100 for full and part-time instructors upon completion of course and related activities.
