Love to write, but it never turns out... right? In this fast-paced, two-week creative prose class, students will engage with daily writing prompts inspired by their favorite authors. They'll create mad libs, sensory landscapes, and word portraits, discovering who and what inspires them to tell their unique stories. Additionally, students will refine their writing skills by exploring genre, dialogue, character development, word choice, and scenic construction. The culmination of their efforts will result in a polished revision of a selected writing prompt developed during class. This course equips students with a college-level writing experience, better preparing them for high school and college English classes.
