The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the importance of ethical conduct between the agent, the company and the insurance consumer. The thoughts presented in this discussion will be directed to life and health agents as well as property and casualty agents. Items discussed will include a history of regulation of the insurance industry in this country, examples of federal and state laws designed to protect the buying public and the fiduciary responsibility of insurers and agents.
