Program Objectives

At this program's conclusion, participants should be able to:

  1. Employ techniques to quickly build rapport and support students.
  2. Adapt to different communication styles and triggers.
  3. Frame and position conversations to de-escalate.  
  4. Utilize active and empathic listening skills.
  5. Explain why students might get upset.
  6. Improve email communication.
  7. Manage stress on both sides of the equation.
